Littmann 4000 Electronic Stethoscope
Littmann 4000 Stethoscope
Now what you hear with the 3M Littmann Electronic Stethoscope Model 4000 can also be what you see and share with others. Because now this exquisite, state-of-the-art auscultation instrument comes with proprietary software that lets you see exactly what you’re hearing, on your computer screen.
This “hardware” and software combination will enhance teaching opportunities, serve as a diagnostic aid and help you make more effective use of telemedicine. Which, when you think about it, helps make electronic stethoscopes more appealing to the most important sense of all ….common sense.
First and foremost, the 3M Littmann Electronic Stethoscope Model 4000 is a superior auscultation instrument, allowing you to listen to heart sounds with up to 18 times the amplification of the most advanced conventional Littmann stethoscope – and records what you hear.
When using the 3M Sound Analysis software, you can see and hear heart sounds that you transferred from your Model 4000 stethoscope. After recording, you can play back Doctor sounds in Bell, Diaphragm or Extended Range filter mode and view them on your IBM-compatible computer. Waveforms allow users to visualize quiet heart sounds that follow loud ones.
Sounds can be saved in .wav format and displayed later, or printed out and inserted into a patient’s record, or e-mailed to colleagues. This capability enhances teaching of auscultation, facilitates remote consultation and telemedicine, and allows clinicians to compare sounds with previous sound recordings.
